Lifeworlds have offered support for Global Learning for many years and several of its practitioners began their careers in this area. Sometimes known as Development Education, and Global Citizenship Education, Global Learning is based on the understanding that young people growing up today have an entitlement to learn about and prepare themselves for, the complex interdependencies and interconnections that characterise their lives, jobs and future prospects.

In a post-Brexit world where the government is positioning the UK as a relatively small player on a very large global stage, a clear understanding of what this will mean for pupils, teachers, and education in general, has arguably never been more important.

In striving to for high quality global learning, Lifeworlds delivers much of its global learning support as bespoke provision because each learning community is unique and will likely be at a different stage in their global learning journey. We also work in partnership with other providers (nationally and regionally) in order to ensure that global learning can be supported long-term in your setting as a new way of being and belonging in the world.

Right now we are supporting global learning clusters of schools in Birmingham, Leicester and Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire and Shropshire as well as working with individual schools and organisations nationally and internationally. Let us know how we can support you or contact us for an informal conversation about global learning and your school/s.

Global Learning connects to many other intitiatives and organisations that your school may already be aware of or working on:

Our Global Learning support is available to many schools in England for FREE if they sign up to be part of the Global Learning Programme (GLP). By sigining up with GLP schools can release £500 worth of e-credits to be spent on approved training with providers like Lifeworlds and its partners.

Get the most from GLP! - We know from experience that schools benefit most from GLP if they work as a cluster, pooling their e-credits to access several thousand pounds worth of CPD.

See below for current GLP opportunities or for more information about what being part of GLP involves please click here.

GLP enables bespoke CPD provision so if you don't see what you want then contact us to discuss your needs.
